Isolated supercell thunderstorms developed during the early morning hours along a warm front in a region of very strong instability, resulting in some incidents of very large hail. The largest hail was three inches in diameter, and fell in Adams County. A significant convective outbreak then developed later in the afternoon into the overnight hours, and is discussed in a separate episode.
