With abundant sunshine and clear skies, high temperatures will still be near low to mid 80s across South Florida. Energy from a mid level low over the central plains combined with closed low over the eastern seaboard Sunday into Monday. This low will lift northeast pushing an elongated trough south across Florida early next week. West to southwesterly flow aloft will bring a surge of deep Gulf moisture over South Florida through mid week. Expect increase in cloud cover Sunday with chances of rain gradually increase Monday and Tuesday. POPS have been increased to high-end scattered coverage Tue afternoon, and a few possible cells could develop over the Atlantic waters and along the east coast. As the trough exits the region and moves further south, amplified ridge builds over South Florida returning dry conditions across South Florida. MARINE...light northerly wind will shift to the east today and remain light today. Pressure gradient will begin to strengthen into Sunday increasing the easterly flow over the Atlantic waters. A frontal boundary with abundant moisture will push across the waters and increase chances of showers Tuesday and Wednesday. AVIATION... Shallow fog could develop overnight, bringing the potential for bouts of MVFR cigs to PBI, FXE, TMB, and APF. Some smoke/haze from Friday's fires could also impact visibility at the terminals in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Conditions should improve as high clouds move into the region ahead of the next frontal system. Individual terminals could again be impacted by smoke from area fires Saturday.
