Frigid air brought in on northwest winds allowed temperatures to drop below freezing once again across Jim Hogg County for several hours. The cold air was accompanied by light freezing rain, which created a thin coating of ice on signs and fences but not on roads.

Temperatures fell below freezing across Jim Hogg County for almost 6 hours. The Hebbronville RAWS site reported a low of 30 degrees, while the AWOS site at KHBV reported a low of 31 degrees. During the morning, light freezing rain coated signs, fences, higher grass, etc. but caused no problems to roads or the electrical grid.
