.SHORT TERM...TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT

LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS CONTINUES ACROSS SOUTHERN ARKANSAS...AS SYSTEM
OVER TEXAS MOVES SOUTHEAST...WITH ISOLATED SHOWERS ACROSS THE REST
OF THE AREA. AS THE SYSTEM SLOWLY MOVES AWAY FROM THE STATE...RAIN
CHANCES WILL DECREASE...BUT WILL KEEP SMALL CHANCES...OR AT LEAST
DRIZZLE...IN THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. WITH THE RAINFALL ACROSS
THE NORTH AND LIGHT WINDS...HAVE ADDED PATCHY FOG TO THE NORTH
THROUGH MID MORNING.

HAVE KEPT SMALL RAIN CHANCES GOING FRIDAY...WITH MOISTURE REMAINING
ACROSS THE REGION AND THE SURFACE LOW PRESSURE JUST TO THE SOUTH. DO
EXPECT SOME MORE BREAKS IN THE CLOUD COVER...WITH TEMPERATURES
WARMER THAN TODAY.

NORTHERLY FLOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND...AS BROAD UPPER
TROUGH REMAINS ACROSS THE EAST. SMALL RAIN CHANCES WILL REMAIN
ACROSS THE SOUTH...WITH MOISTURE REMAINING NEAR THE GULF. BY LATE IN
THE SHORT TERM...THE UPPER RIDGE WILL BEGIN TO MOVE IN FROM THE
WEST...AND ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO CLIMB INTO THE UPPER 80S.

.LONG TERM...MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

A WARMING TREND WILL BE IN PROGRESS AS UPPER RIDGE TO THE WEST
SLOWLY EXPANDS EWD OVER THE REGION. AS A RESULT...PRECIP CHANCES
WILL BE LOW...BUT TEMPS WILL LIKELY BE INCREASING BACK TO AROUND
NORMAL EARLY NEXT WEEK. THIS WARMING TREND WILL BE FAIRLY SHORT
LIVED AS ANOTHER UPPER SHORTWAVE WILL BE DROPPING SE ACROSS THE
PLAINS BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK...WITH A FRONT PUSHING SOUTH
TOWARDS AR. HAVE PRECIP CHANCES RETURNING BY THU MORNING...WITH BEST
CHANCES SO FAR DURING THU AND THU NIGHT OF NEXT WEEK. AS A RESULT OF
THE INCREASED PRECIP CHANCES...EXPECT TEMPS TO DROP BACK BELOW
NORMAL. THIS TREND LOOKS TO CONTINUE THROUGH LATE NEXT WEEK.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR A LARGE PART OF ARKANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THE STORM SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS THE REGION AND BRING
RAIN TO ARKANSAS. MOST OF THE RAIN WILL BE LIGHT BUT A FEW SPOTS
OVER SOUTHERN ARKANSAS MAY SEE ISOLATED HEAVIER RAIN. AN ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS MAY ALSO BE SEEN. RAIN AMOUNTS WILL GENERALLY BE JUST
A FEW TENTHS OF AN INCH...WITH A FEW SPOTS FROM A HALF INCH TO
AROUND ONE INCH. THE THREAT OF ANY SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE VERY
LOW.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

RAIN CHANCES WILL CONTINUE IN MAINLY SOUTHEAST AND CENTRAL SECTIONS
FRIDAY BEFORE COMING TO AN END AS THE SYSTEM PUSHES EAST OF
ARKANSAS. SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY IS EXPECTED TO BE DRY.
