A winter storm brought heavy snow along with blowing and drifting snow to northwest Nebraska on October 4-5, 2013. Snowfall amounts were very heavy ranging to around 25 inches across far northwest Sheridan County with snow drifts up to 6 feet. Snowfall amounts of 6 to 8 inches were widespread across the remainder of Sheridan County with drifts up to 3 feet. Northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph caused considerable blowing and drifting. Sheridan County was included in Nebraska Declaration DR-4156-NE.
