An active cold front near American Samoa combined with a strong high pressure to the south of Tutuila and Manua have generated strong gusty winds up to 45 mph. Residents on Manua and Tutuila reported downed banana trees and fallen coconuts and breadfruits alongside the main road and exposed areas near the beaches.
