An upper level storm system crossed the region, bringing accumulating snow to much of the area. The heaviest snow fell across far western South Dakota from Edgemont north to the Belle Fourche area.

Five to ten inches of snow were reported across portions of Fall River County, the Black Hills, and southern Butte County.
