Based on a news story from The Record: Powerful wind gusts pulled down several utility wires near the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, forcing police to close Route 46 in both directions and contributing to hours of gridlock. Several wires fell near Route 46's interchanges with Routes 23 and 80.

Peak wind gusts of 53 mph was measured at Newark Airport, 52 mph in Bayonne, and 44 mph at Teterboro Airport.

Strong winds downed a tree and wires on the Interstate-78 east bound ramp at Exit 45 in Summit (Union County).
