A very strong hurricane force low developed south of Kodiak Island on the morning of 10/31. As the storm center moved ENE, a strong front moved into the Queen Charlotte Islands with the very strong surface pressure gradient just brushing the west coast of Prince of Wales Island.
Deaths and injuries are direct and indirect together, as the offices filed them. Damage is property and crops in the dollars of the year, not adjusted for inflation, and only where an office estimated it.
