What happened

The episode as NWS APX wrote it up.

A strong low pressure system brought snow to the Northern Great Lakes region. Locally heavy snow developed in parts of Northwest Lower Michigan on the evening of the 30th, with Lake Ann picking up 13 inches of snow by morning of the 1st. However, for most of the region, the heaviest snow fell on the 1st. Thus, a more complete disucssion of this event will be contained in Storm Data for December 2008.
