.DISCUSSION...
ETA/NAM MODEL TRYING TO DEVELOP SOME EVENING PRECIPITATION IN THE
SOUTH AND EAST WHERE MOISTURE IS A BIT DEEPER. GFS NOT BUYING OFF
ON IT THOUGH. MOISTURE IS VERY SHALLOW AND DRY AIR WILL ENTRAIN INTO
ANY CELLS THAT GET GOING...BUT CANNOT RULE OUT ONE OR TWO STORMS OVER
THE COURSE OF THE EVENING. I HAVE PUT 10 PERCENT POPS WITH
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THOSE AREAS FOR THE EVENING PERIOD. BIT
OF CU FORMING NEAR BROWNWOOD AT THIS TIME...BUT NOT SHOWING ANY
SIGNS YET OF BECOMING STORMS. SPC PUT SOUTH AND EAST IN A SLIGHT
RISK AREA AND IF WE DO GET A STORM THE INVERTED V SOUNDING SHOWS
POTENTIAL FOR SOME DOWNBURST WINDS THIS EVENING (IF WE GET A
STORM). CONVECTION IN THE MORNING WITH THE FRONT MAY PRODUCE SOME
MARGINALLY SEVERE HAIL.

AS THE COLD FRONT ROLLS IN OVERNIGHT CHANCES FOR RAIN IN SOUTHERN
HALF INCREASE...AND THEN BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT THE OVERRUNNING SETS
UP. UNSETTLED WEATHER CONTINUES THROUGH DAY SEVEN ALTHOUGH NOW GFS
IS SHOWING SOME DRY PERIODS SUCH AS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
STILL HAVE KEPT POPS NO HIGHER THAN CHANCE DUE TO MODEL
UNCERTAINTY.

TEMPERATURES WILL MODERATE OVERNIGHT AND BE MORE SEASONABLE
THROUGH DAY SEVEN. 84

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...

THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT SOUTHEAST OF A
PARIS...DALLAS...GOLDTHWAITE LINE. SOME OF THE STORMS COULD BECOME
SEVERE...PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. DEADLY CLOUD TO
GROUND LIGHTNING WILL ALSO BE A THREAT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...

THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTH
OF A BRECKENRIDGE TO SULPHUR SPRINGS LINE WEDNESDAY. A FEW OF THESE
STORMS COULD BE SEVERE...WITH LARGE HAIL BEING THE MAIN
SEVERE WEATHER THREAT.

THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL INCREASE ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA WEDNESDAY
NIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY. LARGE HAIL WILL BE THE MAIN
THREAT...THOUGH DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE SOUTHERN
SECTIONS. THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL LINGER ACROSS NORTH TEXAS THROUGH
THE EARLY PART OF NEXT WEEK.

Wind damage was reported in several counties due to strong winds associated with dissipating thunderstorms. In Bell County, power lines were blown down in Morgan's Point Resort and Troy. Power lines were blown down and a roof was damaged in the city of Rosebud in Falls County. In Milam County, a barn was damaged and trees were uprooted between Maysfield and Branchville. Storm spotters reported a 60 MPH wind gust in Rockdale. In Robertson County, trees were reported down three miles west of Hearne, and power lines were downed in Bremond.
