.DISCUSSION...

THE CURRENT FORECAST IS ON TRACT.  EARLIER THIS MORNING RAIN SHOWERS
FORMED NEAR A WEAK INVERTED SFC TROF LOCATED OVER THE WESTERN ZONES
OF THE CWA.  THE MODELS STILL HAVE PW WATER AT BNA AT 18Z ABOVE 1.6
INCHES.  WITH SLIGHTLY MORE MOISTURE AND WARMER TEMPERATURES THAN
YESTERDAY EXPECT A LITTLE MORE PRECIPITATION ACTIVITY THIS AFTERNOON
IN THE MID STATE. THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL BE A LITTLE MORE
PLENTIFUL IN OUR WESTERN ZONES WHERE THE ATMOSPHERE IS MORE UNSTABLE.
WILL UPDATE THE SOUTHERN ZONES FIRST PERIOD WINDS FOR AFTERNOON
WORDING. NO OTHER CHANGES NEEDED.

PREVIOUS DISCUSSION...
LATEST ANALYSIS STILL SHOWING THE MID-SOUTH IN A WARM UNSTABLE
REGIME...WITH RIDGES REMAINING ALOFT. CONVECTION LARGELY
DIURNALLY DRIVEN THUS THINGS QUIET EARLY THIS MORNING.

UPPER RIDGES STAYING PUT THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY...WHICH WILL
KEEP THE CWA IN MAINLY ISOLATED-SCATTERED DIURNAL CONVECTION THROUGH
THAT TIME. PLAN WARM TEMPS AND LOW POPS THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

STORM TRACK WILL SHIFT EASTWARD EARLY THURSDAY AS UPPER RIDGES
IN THE EAST BREAK DOWN. WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY LOOKS TO SWING
ACROSS THE CWA MIDDAY THURSDAY...WITH THE UPPER TROF AXIS
MOVING ACROSS IN THE EVENING. DEEP MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH
MORE FAVORABLE FORCING/INSTABILITY FROM PASSING FEATURES SHOULD
RESULT IN FAIRLY WIDESPREAD PCPN THURSDAY/THURSDAY EVENING.
PLAN TO UP POPS INTO LIKELY CATEGORY THURSDAY...LEAVING SCATTERED
THURSDAY NIGHT FOR THE TIME BEING.

NICE CHANGE EXPECTED FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND AS COOLER DRIER AIR
