An ocean storm system moved north to the east of New England during Saturday, October 15th and into New Brunswick during Sunday, October 16th. A tight pressure gradient on the backside of this intensifying storm resulted in strong winds across the area on October 16th during the late morning and early afternoon especially.

An ocean storm system moved north to the east of New England during Saturday, October 15th and into New Brunswick during Sunday, October 16th. A tight pressure gradient on the backside of this intensifying storm resulted in strong winds across the area on October 16th during the late morning and early afternoon especially. Countywide tree damage was reported, with the following specific reports: Morgan Center reported trees down on power lines, and a 120 foot windmill snapped in the wind in Derby (Orleans county). In Lamoille county both Cambridge and Morrisville reported trees down on power lines, with the Washington county locations of Warren and Montpelier reporting trees down. Power outages were reported across the area.
