Thunderstorms developed over the warm waters of Lake Erie and moved onshore over parts of Chautauqua and Erie counties. In Dunkirk, an isolated thunderstorm downed a large tree and several branches. The winds also moved and damaged outdoor furniture and an outdoor gas grill. In Amherst, lightning sparked a fire that left $10,000 in damage to an Eggert Road business.
