Strong winds of 35 to 45 mph fanned field fires started by combines in Clay County. One bean field was destroyed. The fires resulted in heavy smoke across a Highway near Ong. A vehicle ran into the back of one of the fire trucks in an area of poor visibility due to smoke. No injuries were reported.
