.SYNOPSIS...TRADE WIND SHOWERS TRENDING WETTER FOR THE NEXT TWO DAYS
 ESPECIALLY EAST BIG ISLAND. LARGE SOUTHERLY SURF WEDNESDAY AND
 THURSDAY.

.DISCUSSION...THE HILO/PUNA AREA ON THE BIG ISLAND GOT THEIR RAIN
 EARLIER THAN EXPECTED. THE TROPICAL DISTURBANCE NOW 450 MILES
 SOUTH OF KAUAI HAD TAKEN ALL OF ITS SHOWERS SOUTH OF THE STATE
 MISSING ALL ISLANDS UNTIL A LAST FLARED BRANCH IMPACTED THE
 BIG ISLAND...SOME CELLS GROWING INTO THUNDERSHOWERS AND DROPPING
 BETWEEN TWO AND THREE INCHES OF RAIN ON PIIHONUA NEAR HILO. THERE
 ARE MORE SHOWERS FURTHER UPSTREAM WITH THE GFS MODEL SUGGESTING
 THIS WET SCENARIO FOR THE EAST SIDE OF THE BIG ISLAND LASTING INTO
 THURSDAY. OTHER ISLANDS WILL LIKELY SEE AN INCREASE IN THEIR TRADE
 SHOWERS AS WELL DUE TO THE INCREASED UPSTREAM MOISTURE BUT NOT TO
 THE BIG ISLANDS EXTENT. MILD BUT STABLE UPPER LEVEL RIDGING IS THE
 PROJECTED TO SETTLE OVER THE STATE FRIDAY.

 MEANWHILE ENHANCED TRADE WIND SPEEDS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THRU
 NEXT WEEKEND BEFORE A NEAR 1030 MILLIBAR HIGH CELL TO THE NORTH
 BEGINS TO WEAKEN.

.MARINE...WHILE THE NORTH SHORES UNUSUAL 10 FOOT PLUS SURF IS NOW
 SUBSIDING SOUTH SHORES WILL BE SEEING THEIR SURF WHICH BEGAN THIS
 AFTERNOON RISING TO 16 FEET OVERNIGHT AND LASTING INTO WEDNESDAY
 AND THURSDAY.
