THIS EVENING SINKING AND DRYING AIR AND WEAK UPPER RIDGING WILL LIMIT
PRECIPITATION TO LIGHT SHOWERS. WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON A 100+ KNOT JET
JUST TO THE NORTH WILL BRING A STEEP INCREASE IN PRECIPITATION.
THERE WILL BE STRONG DYNAMICS AND THE 700MB WIND WILL BE WESTERLY 40
TO 50 KNOTS THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. A SNOW ADVISORY WILL LIKELY BE
ISSUED FOR OUR SECTION OF THE CASCADES IN OREGON. THURSDAY NIGHT
THERE WILL BE A DECREASE IN THE PRECIPITATION AS PART OF THE JET
SHIFTS NORTH AND THE 700MB WINDS TURN SOUTHWEST. PRECIPITATION WILL
INCREASE FRIDAY MORNING AS A STRONG BUT FAST MOVING COLD FRONT MOVES
THROUGH OUR AREA.
SNOW LEVELS WILL BE IN THE 3K-4K FT RANGE UNTIL FRIDAY NIGHT WHERE
THEY LOWER TO 2K FT BEHIND THE COLD FRONT BUT ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE
LIGHT BY THEN. A COOL SHOWERY PATTERN PERSISTS UNTIL SUNDAY MORNING
WHEN LIGHT OFFSHORE FLOW AND WEAK UPPER RIDGING DEVELOPS.
THE BREAK IS SHORT. SUNDAY NIGHT A WARM FRONT APPROACHES. MONDAY A
COLD FRONT FOLLOWED BY A COLD TROUGH MOVES IN. TUESDAY THE UPPER
RIDGE BUILDS BUT A STRONG JET WILL MAINTAIN A CHANCE OF SHOWERS
WEDNESDAY COULD BE DRY IF THE GFS STRONG RIDGE IS CORRECT. THE NCEP
