VIGOROUS SHORT WAVE IS ROLLING THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY AS
ADVERTISED.  STRONG ISENTROPIC LIFT NORTH OF A WARM FRONT IS
PRODUCING HEAVY WINTRY PRECIP.  COLD TEMP PROFILE HAS KEPT ALL SNOW
FROM ABOUT THE OHIO RIVER NORTH...WITH FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET
MIXING IN SOUTH OF THE RIVER.  ILN IS CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING 1/4SM
SN FZFG...WITH ABOUT 2 INCHES ON THE GROUND.

GRADUAL TRANSITION TO SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN WILL OCCUR TONIGHT AS
THE WARM FRONT WORKS NORTH AND ABOVE FREEZING AIR ADVECTS IN AT
ABOUT 3 KFT. CHANGE OVER IS SLOWER THAN ANTICIPATED.  STILL EXPECT
SOME RAIN IN THE FAR SOUTH BY DAYBREAK.  PRECIP WILL LIGHTEN UP BY
MORNING AS MAIN AREA OF 700 MB DEFORMATION LIFTS NORTH.

MILDER CONDITIONS ARE IN STORE FOR MONDAY AS WARM SECTOR VISITS
BRIEFLY.  SCATTERED LIGHT RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE
BUT MOISTURE WILL BE MUCH MORE SHALLOW THAN TODAY.  NEXT SHORT
WAVES EFFECTS WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY NIGHT AS IT TRIGGERS A SURFACE
LOW THAT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE GREAT LAKES.  PRECIP IS EXPECTED TO
BEGIN AS RAIN MONDAY NIGHT...THEN CHANGE TO FREEZING RAIN AND SNOW
