.SYNOPSIS...HIGH SURF ALONG THE SOUTH SHORES THIS WEEKEND WILL BE
 FOLLOWED BY SHEARLINE SHOWERS AND COOLING NORTH WINDS ON MONDAY.

.DISCUSSION...MODELS PRETTY MUCH ARE IN AGREEMENT WITH BRINGING IN A
 WEAK SHEARLINE NOW 800 MILES TO THE NORTHWEST OF KAUAI ON MONDAY...
 BUT AS EARLY AS SUNDAY NIGHT ON KAUAI. THE DEEPENING OF A LOW TO
 THE FAR NORTHEAST OF THE ISLANDS WILL PREVENT THE SHEARLINES
 FOLLOWING HIGH FROM PUSHING THE SHEARLINE CLEANLY THROUGH THE
 ENTIRE STATE. IN THE CURRENT PACKAGE WE HAVE STALLED THE
 SHEARLINE OVER THE BIG ISLAND FROM NEXT TUESDAY ON...THIS SEEMS
 TO BE A GOOD COMPROMISE BETWEEN THE NOGAPS MODELS CLEAN PASSAGE AND
 THE GFS MODELS RETREATING SHOWERS BACK TOWARD OAHU. THE LOWS
 INFLUENCE ON OUR NORMALLY TRADE WIND GENERATING RIDGE TO THE NORTH
 SHOULD ALSO MAKE FOR A MORE NORTHERLY AND COOLER BIAS IN THE WINDS
 EARLY NEXT WEEK.

.MARINE...A HIGH SURF ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED AT 4 PM IN
 ANTICIPATION OF SOUTH SHORE SURF RISING TOMORROW. SURF HEIGHTS
 WHICH ARE EXPECTED TO PEAK TOMORROW NIGHT AND SUNDAY MAY REQUIRE
 UPGRADING THE ADVISORY TO A HIGH SURF WARNING LATER. THE THRESHOLD
 FOR A WARNING ON THE SOUTH SHORES IS 15 FEET.
