A 994 mb low tracked up from the southern Gulf into the Yakutat area during this time. The associated front spread heavy snowfall across the Northern Inner Channels and Northeast Gulf Coast. Rain occurred farther south in the Panhandle. Storm snowfall totals included: 6 inches in Yakutat, 8" in Skagway, 24" in Haines, 16" at Haines Customs, 10" in Gustavus, 11" in Glacier Bay National Park, 11" in Hoonah, 5" in Pelican, 7" in downtown Juneau and Douglas, 10-15" elsewhere in the Juneau area (Valley, Out the Road, Outer Point).
