The afternoon of the 29th brought gusty wind along the west side of the San Joaquin Valley as well as the Kern County Mountains and Desert areas. As a harbinger of the overdue seasonal change for Interior Central California, minor damage was reported in the way of downed power lines and broken tree limbs due to the gusty wind.
