Generally, severe drought conditions continued over south coastal South Carolina through the month of June. Rainfall for the month was slightly below normal at the Charleston Airport. However, most of the rain fell in scattered thunderstorms and were confined to a few days. Therefore, the region is still running a significant yearly deficit.

UPDATED TO REMOVE POPS FOR SC PORTION. WILL CONTINUE 20 POP INTO
OVERNIGHT HOURS FOR RESIDUAL PRECIP OVER INLAND GA. THIS AREA OF
PRECIP SHOULD CONTINUE TO DIMINISH WITH NOT MUCH IN THE WAY OF
ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPECTED OVERNIGHT. MAY SEE SOME PATCHY FOG
LATER TONIGHT MAINLY OVER GA PORTION DUE TO PREVIOUS PRECIP BUT NOT
EXPECTED TO BE WIDESPREAD DENSE.
