AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON NC
953 PM EDT FRI MAY 31 2002

ATMOSPHERE IS STABILIZING WITH THE LOSS OF DAYTIME HEATING. EARLIER
CONVECTION ALONG AND W OF THE SEABREEZE HAS DISSIPATED LEAVING ONLY
A LITTLE DEBRIS CLOUDINESS. REST OF THE OVERNIGHT LOOKS DRY WITH A
LIGHT S/SW FLOW ACROSS THE AREA. SOME PATCHY DENSE FOG LOOKS LIKELY
AGAIN TONIGHT...BUT COVERAGE SHOULD BE LESS THAN LAST NIGHT WITH
FEWER LOCATIONS RECEIVING SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL. HIGHER WINDS IN THE
BOUNDARY LAYER WILL ALSO KEEP THINGS A LITTLE MORE MIXED. WILL
UPDATE THE ZFP TO REMOVE MENTION OF EVENING ISOL POPS
INLAND...OTHERWISE NO CHANGES.

CWF: FPSN7 IS REPORTING 12 KTS AND 2 FT SEAS. THIS FITS WELL WITH
CURRENT CWF. NO CHANGES ANTICIPATED.
