Heavy thunderstorm rains falling on already-soaked ground produced street and basement flooding in Homer City and across Center Township. Area fire departments received a total of 17 calls to pump out basements. Roadway flooding was reported along Route 553 near Penn Run and U.S. Route 119 in Burrell Township.
