THERE ARE SOME UPDATES TO MAKE TO THE FORECAST THIS MORNING. SNOW
LEVELS ARE 4000 TO NEAR 4500 FEET...500-1000 FEET HIGHER THAN
INDICATED BY THE CURRENT FORECAST. WILL MAINTAIN 3500 FT SNOW LEVEL
FOR HEADLINES AS SNOW LEVELS WILL FALL THIS AFTERNOON (WHEN THE
HEAVIEST PRECIPITATION ARRIVES) AND ON THROUGH THE EVENING. WILL ALSO
EXTEND WINTER STORM HEADLINE INTO NORTH CENTRAL SISKIYOU
COUNTY...ADJUST CASCADES AND SISKIYOUS UP TO A WARNING AND EXTEND
SNOW ADVISORY INTO NORTHEAST SISKIYOU COUNTY AND THE REMAINDER OF
KLAMATH COUNTY. A MIXTURE OF RAIN AND SNOW AT BOTH SISKIYOU SUMMIT
AND NEAR MOUNT SHASTA THIS MORNING BUT WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW LATER
TODAY. WINDS JUST BELOW CRITERIA AT THE MOMENT BUT WILL CONTINUE WIND
ADVISORY FOR WEED AREA WITH SOUTHERLY WINDS INCREASING AGAIN THIS
AFTERNOON. STRONG SHORTWAVE NEAR 40N 130W WILL BE THE PRIME MECHANISM
FOR THE INCREASE IN PRECIPITATION THIS AFTERNOON. TIMING STILL LOOKS
