Several rounds of heavy thunderstorm rains produced roadway flooding across portions of southwest Muskingum County. Road closures were also reported in the Philo area.
Another round of heavy thunderstorm rains forced already-swollen creeks and streams out of their banks across the county. The Neffs and Centerville areas, already recovering from flooding earlier in the week, were again hit hard. In the Powhatan Point area, State Route 7 was closed for a period of time by mudslides.

Heavy thunderstorm rains brought the Muskingum River at Coshocton over its flood stage of 13.0 feet during the late evening hours on June 6th. The river crested at 14.1 feet at around 10:00 PM on June 7th, then began to slowly recede, finally falling below flood stage at around 2:30 AM on June 9th. Only some minor roadway flooding near the river was reported during this time.
