Major flash flooding occurred along Choconut Creek and Tracy Creek in the Town of Vestal from 2.5 inches of rain that fell in less than one hour. Ross Hill Road, Meeker Road, Echo Road, and Main Street were severely impacted when water flowed over the roads, clogged culverts, and caused partial washouts. Numerous homes were flooded on these roads. There were many other roads in the Vestal area that saw flooding as well. Numerous cars were also stranded in flood waters. Some residents were unable to return to their homes because flood waters from nearby creeks had closed roads. A few driveway were washed out. A few trees and wires came down in the area due to lightning and being undermined by water. Damage estimates ranged around 100,000 dollars to the Town Of Vestal.
