CONTINUE TO INCREASE ACROSS THE PLAINS TODAY AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT
FORECAST TO MOVE THROUGH THE AREA LATE TONIGHT. HIGH WIND WARNING
FOR ROCKY MOUNTAIN FRONT AND GLACIER COUNTY FOR LATE THIS AFTERNOON
AND TONIGHT LOOK GOOD...AS THE TIGHTEST PRESSURE GRADIENT AND
STRONGEST 700MB WIND WILL BE THERE. ELSEWHERE...IT WILL BE WINDY
ACROSS ALL OF THE PLAINS BUT NOT ENOUGH TO MEET HIGH WIND CRITERIA.
WILL RAISE TEMPS A BIT FOR MOST ZONES TODAY...WITH STRONG
DOWNSLOPE...GOOD MIXING AND ABUNDANT SUNSHINE. VILLANI

A high wind event occurred over the northern Rocky Mountain Front and in the Cut Bank area as a Canadian cold front pushed through the region. Sustained winds of 44 mph with gusts to 54 mph occurred at Cut Bank at 0756 MST. A 72 mph gust at Babb occurred at 0810 MST. Sustained winds of 45 mph with gusts to 66 mph occurred near Waterton Gate at 1300 MST.
