.UPDATE...
Record warm maximums were tied today FRI 15 MAR 2002 at Lake Charles
(83 degrees...previously set in 1967) and Alexandria (86 degrees...
previously set in 1955).
.OVERNIGHT...
The MesoETA decelerates the Texas cold front...slowing it to a stop
near an Alexandria-Beaumont line by dawn. A modest baroclinic zone
sets up across the Lakes Region of Texas and the Piney Hills of west
central Louisiana.
Main forecast problem tonight is fog formation mainly east of the
baroclinic zone. Advecting Gulf air having an extensive upwind fetch
is passing over the cooler inshore waters and across the cooling
ground. Contact cooling will produce advection fog...both over land
and sea. I will adjust zones to account for this developing scenario.
I will also lower the rain chances a category.
