DAYS 1-2...

MID/UPPER TROP SHORT WAVE TROF NOTED IN THE WATER VAPOR LOOP OVER
SOUTHERN UTAH AND CENTRAL ARIZONA THIS MORNING. SURFACE FRONT
DRAPED ALONG RED RIVER OF OKLAHOMA WESTWARD TO EAST CENTRAL NEW
MEXICO WITH NICE BAROCLINIC ZONE JUST TO OUR SOUTH PER THE 0Z UPPER
AIR DATA. STARTING TO SEE SOME RADAR RETURNS OVER THE PANHANDLES
INTO WESTERN OKLAHOMA WHERE WAA AND ISENTROPIC UPGLIDE IS OCCURRING.
MODELS FORECAST THE WAA/ISENTROPIC UPGLIDE TO CONTINUE INTO THE
AFTERNOON HOURS OVER THE CWA. BEST INSTABILITY APPEARS TO BE OVER
THE SOUTHEASTERN CWA BOTH TODAY AND TONIGHT. THEREFORE, WILL KEEP
CURRENT POPS GOING AND MENTION -TSRA OVER THE SE CWA TODAY AND
TONIGHT. ELSEWHERE, WILL JUST MENTION RAIN. BECAUSE OF EXTENSIVE
CLOUD OVERHEAD, TEMPS WILL ONLY SLOWLY INCREASE THROUGHOUT TODAY.
ONLY FLY IN OINTMENT, POTENTIALLY, WILL BE OVER THE EXTREME
SOUTHWESTERN CWA WHERE DRYSLOT COULD WORK ITS WAY OVER THAT PORTION
OF THE CWA BY LATE THIS AFTERNOON. AT THIS POINT, I PREFER THE
ETA/MESOETAS IDEA OF KEEPING ALL BUT THE VERY FAR SOUTHWESTERN CWA
UNDER CLOUD TODAY. SO, HIGHS FOR TODAY WILL REFLECT THIS THINKING.

FOR TONIGHT...WILL KEEP POPS GOING OVER THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN CWA
DUE TO UPWARD VERT VELS CONTINUING INTO THE EVENING HOURS. UPPER
WAVE WILL BE JUST EAST OF THE CWA BY SUNRISE SUNDAY WITH A WEAKER
VORT JUST TO ITS UPSTREAM. AS A RESULT, CURRENT FEELING IS THAT CWA
WILL HANG ONTO THE MID/UPPER CLOUDS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. SURFACE
LOW WILL HAVE MOVED TO EASTERN MISSOURI BY SUNRISE, THEREFORE, WINDS
WILL GRADUALLY BECOME NORTH WITH TIME.

FOR SUNDAY...UPPER TROF WILL BE TO THE CWAS EAST BY AFTERNOON.
CLOUDS WILL EXIT THE EASTERN CWA BY MIDDAY. UPSHOT IS THAT WILL PLAN
TO GRADIENT HIGHS FROM COLD TO WARM EAST TO WEST. PCPN LOOKS TO BE
NIL THIS PERIOD.
