Southerly winds aloft, associated with two low pressure systems in the eastern Bering Sea and Alaska, produced areas of heavy snow in the Susitna Valley. Reports around Petersville Road indicated close to 30" of snow 'hammered' the area. Lesser amounts were reported around Talkeetna and Skwentna...however snow at lower elevations rapidly melted as it fell.
