SHORT TERM...MORNING GULF CONVECTION HAS DISSIPATED AND LONG OUTFLOW
BOUNDARY/CONVECTION HAS PUSHED INTO EASTERN FLORIDA. THE TRANSITION
TO SOUTHEASTERLY LOW LEVEL FLOW DID NOT DEVELOP TODAY DUE TO THE
OUTFLOW. AT 18Z NORTHEAST SUFACE WINDS AND STABLE CONDITIONS WERE
OBSERVED IN OUR FORECAST AREA...BUT VISIBLE SATELLITE SHOWED CLOUDS
THINNING SO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS COULD DEVELOP DURING THE NEXT
SEVERAL HOURS AS GROUND HEATS UP. WATER VAPOR LOOPED SHOWED A
POSSIBLE SHORT WAVE IN THE GULF HEADED NORTHEAST AND BACK EDGE
SHOULD REACH TAMPA ABOUT 02Z. WILL PUT SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS IN
FOR THE EVENING.

SECOND PERIOD AND BEYOND...LONG WAVE TROUGH ENTERING THE EASTERN
CONUS TODAY WILL STALL OVER NORTHERN FLORIDA THURSDAY. ETA PRODUCES
A CLOSED UPPER LEVEL LOW ALONG TROUGH IN FLORIDA PAN HANDLE FRIDAY
WHILE AVN DEVELOPS IT OVER SOUTH CAROLINA. OOZ MRF WAS SIMILAR TO
12Z ETA. PREFER CONSISTENCY AND WILL GO WITH ETA MODEL WITH
SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT OVER FORECAST AREA...FEEDING THE AFTERNOON AND
EVENING STORMS THAT DEVELOP IN THE LOW LEVEL SOUTHEASTERLY FLOW.
MORE HEAVY RAIN IS POSSIBLE. MRF RETROGRADES UPPER LOW INTO WESTERN
GULF BY MONDAY AS BERMUDA HIGH SLOWLY INCREASES ITS GRIP ON REGION.
WILL KEEP SCATTERED AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS IN FORECAST
FOR NEXT SEVEN DAYS AND SEE NO REASON FOR PUTTING IN PRECIPITATION
DURING THE MORNING LIKE WE HAVE BEEN HAVING LATELY.
