EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAN DIEGO CA 230 PM PDT TUE JUN 25 2002 .SYNOPSIS...FAIR AND WARM WEATHER WILL CONTINUE THE REST OF THE WEEK WITH MORNING LOW CLOUDS AND FOG NEAR THE COAST AND IN SOME VALLEYS. IT WILL BE A LITTLE COOLER INLAND SATURDAY AS A WEAK UPPER LOW MOVES BY TO THE NORTH. SLIGHTLY WARMER WEATHER WITH SOME HIGH CLOUDS ARE EXPECTED EARLY NEXT WEEK. .DISCUSSION...SHALLOW MARINE LAYER AND STRONG INVERSION KEEPING CLOUDS STICKING TO SAN DIEGO. AND A FEW HARMLESS HIGH CLOUDS. MOSTLY CLEAR TONIGHT WITH NO CHANGE TO MARINE LAYER. NOT MUCH CHANGE THROUGH FCST PERIOD. NEW MODELS SHOW UPPER TROUGH TO SLOWLY MOVE INTO NW CST FRI AND SAT AND HEIGHTS LOWER VERY SLIGHTLY OVER SOCAL. VERY LITTLE LOCAL IMPACT EXCEPT TO DEEPEN MARINE LAYER AND COOL INTERIOR A FEW DEGREES.
