A moderate weather front, associated with a deepening low adjacent to the Kamchatka Peninsula, was accompanied by strong southerly winds along the extreme western Aleutians. Gusts of 68 mph, from the southwest, were recorded at Shemya between noon and 1 pm AST Saturday...post frontal and on the southeast side of the low.
