A 982 mb low moved into the extreme western Bering Sea from a position just east of the Kamchatka Peninsula Saturday. Gusty southwesterly winds were observed on the southeast quadrant of the low. Gusts reached 67 mph at Adak and 66 mph at Shemya. At Atka, peak winds only reached 47 mph from the system.
