A strong cold front crossed the Mid Atlantic region during the morning of the 10th. Ahead of the front, southwest winds of 15 to 25 MPH gusted to 35 MPH. Behind the front, winds shifted to the northwest at 20 to 30 MPH and gust to 50 MPH. A wind gust of 43 MPH was recorded at the Grant County Airport near Petersburg. The Martinsburg Airport in Berkeley County recorded the highest regional gust of 58 MPH.
