A single lake effect snow band developed off Lake Ontario in a cold westerly flow. The heaviest snow fell within a 10-mile wide area where the band was most persistent from northeast Wayne county across Northern Cayuga and Oswego counties. The Town of Martville, Cayuga county, reported 23" while Sodus, Hannibal, Fair Haven, Phoenix, Fulton and West Monroe all had between twelve and eighteen inches.
