AN ORGANIZED SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK IS UNLIKELY.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY TODAY IN NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.
AN ISOLATED STORM COULD APPROACH SEVERE LIMITS ACROSS EASTERN
AND SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA WITH THE PRIMARY
THREAT BEING LARGE HAIL.

A POWERFUL STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE NORTHEAST THROUGH NEBRASKA TODAY. A
WARM FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL ALSO LIFT
NORTHWARD IN SOUTHERN NEBRASKA.  THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO
DEVELOP ALONG AND NORTH OF THE FRONT THIS AFTERNOON.  ISOLATED LARGE
HAIL WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH STRONGEST STORMS.

THE STORM SYSTEM WILL SHIFT NORTHEAST INTO THE UPPER MIDWEST THIS
EVENING WITH CONDITIONS IMPROVING AS NORTHWEST WINDS DEVELOP BEHIND
THE SURFACE LOW.

A powerful cyclone came out of southeast Colorado and through Kansas and eastern Nebraska. Wet snow of 4 to 8 inches accompanied by 40 to 50 mph wind and gusts to 60 mph took down numerous power poles and lines and damaged trees through a large part of north central, central, and southwest Nebraska. It also resulted in the closure of Interstate Highway 80 and many other highways for several hours.
