SATELLITE IMAGERY CLEARLY SHOWS THE 2 FRONTS INVOLVED WITH CURRENT WEATHER PATTERN. PACIFIC FRONT SLIDING ACROSS THE HI-LINE AT THIS TIME. NOT MUCH ASSOCIATED WITH THIS FEATURE EXCEPT FOR SOME GUSTY WEST SURFACE WINDS. SURFACE LOW A BIT FURTHER SOUTH THAN DEPICTED ON 12Z ETA RUN. WILL LEAVE HIGH WIND WARNING IN PLACE FOR ZONE 10 AS SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE BEEN MEETING WARNING CRITERIA. ETA MAINTAINS WESTERLY FLOW ALOFT WITH DISTURBANCES RIDING THROUGH. EMANUEL FOR EXTENDED...MRF VERY SIMILAR TO LAST RUN...ECMWF...UKMET AND CANADIAN THROUGH PERIOD. TODAY/S SYSTEM MOVES INLAND FASTER THAN RIDGE OVER WEST AND TROUGH OVER CENTRAL AND EASTERN STATES ARE WILLING TO EXIT. AS A RESULT...SYSTEM RIDES OVER TOP OF RIDGE... ACROSS CWA...THEN DIVES INTO AND ENHANCES THE EASTERN TROUGH. RIDGE CURRENTLY OVER WEST BRIEFLY BUCKLES UNDER INCOMING SYSTEM. RIDGE THEN QUICKLY REBOUNDS OVER THE WEST DURING THE COMING WEEK AS THE EASTERN TROUGH CONTINUES TO DEVELOP. SLIGHT TIMING DIFFERENCE IN CURRENT MRF RUN WITH APPROACH OF NEXT PACIFIC SYSTEM THIS WEEKEND...NOW BRINGS IT IN SLIGHTLY SLOWER. ADDITIONALLY...SYSTEM IS QUICKLY WEAKENED AS IT COLLIDES WITH THE RIDGE. THIS SEEMS MORE REALISTIC CONSIDERING FORECASTED STRENGTH OF RIDGE BY MIDWEEK.
