Heavy thunderstorm rains produced over 3 inches of rainfall at several locations across Garrett County. This heavy rain forced creeks out of their banks in the Gorman area, forcing the temporary closure of several roads. Motorists were stranded in several feet of water in both Gorman and Pleasant Valley, and a few needed to be rescued from their cars by local fire companies. Several reports of flooded basements were also received in the Oakland and Gorman areas.
