SUMMARY...THE STRONG AND GUSTY TRADE WINDS WILL BE WITH US INTO THE
WEEKEND WHEN WINDS ARE FORECAST TO START DIMINISHING. BRIEF SHOWERS
ARE EXPECTED MAINLY TONIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING AND MAINLY NEAR THE
MOUNTAINS.

DISCUSSION...SOME MAJOR CIRCULATION CHANGES ARE FORECAST FOR THE
NORTH PACIFIC DURING THE NEXT FEW DAYS AS THE PRESENT BLOCKING
PATTERN OVER THE CENTRAL PACIFIC NEAR THE DATELINE WILL BE PUSHED
WESTWARD INTO THE WESTPAC OVER THE WEEKEND AND WEAKENED WHILE A
LARGE TROUGH/LOW DEVELOPES OVER THE NORTHEAST PACIFIC. FOR HAWAII
THAT MEANS A PERIOD OF COOL AND DRY WEATHER WILL BE OCCURING NEXT
WEEK WITH THE TRADES A LITTLE MORE NORTHERLY THAN NORMAL AND QUITE A
BIT WEAKER THAN THE PRESENT BLUSTERY ONES.

SURF...BUOY 28 ON THE EQUATOR SOUTH OF HAWAII HAS SHOWN AN INCREASE
IN SOUTHERLY SWELL THAT WILL ARRIVE HERE IN THE ISLANDS IN 2 DAYS.
SOUTH SHORE SURF COULD BE NEAR THE 6 FOOT ADVISORY THRESHOLD WHEN IT
ARRIVES ON FRIDAY. FURTHER OUT IN THE FUTURE...THE NEW LOW FORECAST
TO FORM NORTH NORTHEAST OF US ON SUNDAY COULD GIVE US SOME NORTH
SWELL/SURF NEAR THE 10 FOOT ADVISORY LEVEL ON TUESDAY. ROSENDAL
