An active monsoon trough moved across the Mariana Islands. This resulted in periods of heavy rain showers and gusty winds across Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan. The gusty winds caused power outages in some villages across Guam. Agat, Umatac, Merizo, and Inarajan. In Inarajan the high winds caused a tree to topple onto a car. The power outages prompted the closure of several island schools. The high winds along the monsoon trough generated high surf. On the morning of the 14th Tropical Depression 14W formed on the monsoon trough 205 miles north of Saipan. The depression quickly gained strength to become a tropical storm by evening. The tropical storm was named Pabuk and passed close to the island of Agrihan on the 14th. 11th 2.60 inches fell during the day at the National Weather Service Office with 2.56 inches falling between midnight and 1000. The peak wind of the day was 32 mph observed at 1412. . 12th 1.05 inches fell from midnight to 0400 and an additional 2.02 inches fell from 1000 to 2200. The total rainfall for the day was 3.32 inches. The peak wind was 30 mph observed at 1422.13th 1.38 inches of rain fell during the day and the peak wind was 32 mph occurring at 1253 14th 2.33 inches fell during the day at the National Weather Service Office with 1.26 inches falling between 1000 and 1600. The peak wind of the day was 35 mph at 2343 during a heavy shower.15th 1.23 inches fell during the day and the peak wind was 41 mph, which occurred at 1730 during a heavy shower. 16th 1.75 inches fell during the day and the peak wind was 41 mph occurring at 2013. 17th Only 0.07 inches of rain fell but the wind was still gusty with a peak wind of 31 mph at occurring at 1537.

A WEAK SHEAR LINE NORTH OF WAKE ISLAND IS PRODUCING A LINE OF
SCATTERED SHOWERS WITHIN 40 MILES EITHER SIDE OF A LINE FROM 21N166E
TO BEYOND 25N160E.

WEAK TRADE WIND CONVERGENCE IS GENERATING SCATTERED SHOWERS SOUTH OF
POHNPEI EASTWARD ACROSS KOSRAE AND INTO THE SOUTHERN MARSHALL AND
GILBERT ISLANDS. THIS AREA IS BETWEEN THE EQUATOR AND 7N FROM 159E
TO 177E.
