HAVE DECIDED TO GO WITH A HEAVY SURF ADVISORY FOR SOUTHEAST FLORIDA
BEACHES. WINDS ARE BLOWING TO 28 KNOTS AT PBI...FLL AND MIAMI BEACH.
THESE CONDITIONS SHOULD CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY.
LOOKS LIKE A FRONT ACROSS SOUTH FLORIDA ON INFRARED IMAGERY AND
EARLIER VISIBLE SHOTS. NOT MUCH TEMPERATURE OR DEW POINT CONTRAST
EVEN AS FAR NORTH AS MELBORNE HOWEVER INCREASE IN WINDS WHICH
ACCOMPANIED SHEAR LINE THROUGH THE AREA EARLIER THIS EVENING IS
PROBABLY THE ACTUAL FRONTAL BOUNDARY. STILL QUITE A LOT OF
PRECIPITATION OVER THE MAINLAND TO THE SOUTH AND OFF THE BROWARD AND
DADE COASTS TO THE EAST. BOTH THE COVERAGE AND INTENSITIES OF
SHOWERS SHOULD DECREASE TONIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO
BUILD INTO THE AREA OVERNIGHT WITH A SOUTHWARD MOVEMENT IN
PRECIPITATION AREAS MOSTLY CONFINED TO THE FLORIDA STRAITS BY
TOMMORROW. SHOULD NOT RULE OUT SLIGHT RISK OF COASTAL SHOWERS
BLOWING OFF THE ATLANTIC ALONG THE EAST COAST TOMMORROW SINCE
BOUNDARY STILL QUITE DIFFUSE AND EASTERLY FLOW SHOULD BE BRISK WITH
LOW LEVEL MOISTURE AVAILABLE. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST EXTENDED
PERIOD OF SMALL CRAFT ADVISORIES OVER THE MARINE AREA THIS SEASON
LASTING THROUGH WEDNESDAY AT LEAST. OOZ SOUNDINGS THIS EVENING
SHOWED AN INCREASE IN LOW LEVEL MOISTURE UP THROUGH 650MB WITH
