WINDS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. SNOW IS EXPECTED OVER SOME OF THE
HIGHER MOUNTAINS...MAINLY TOWARDS SUNDAY MORNING. THIS STORM WILL
MOVE EAST SUNDAY AND BRING AN END TO THE PRECIPITATION. ANOTHER
STORM PASSING BY TO THE NORTH MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY WILL BRING A
CHANCE OF SHOWERS.
.DISCUSSION...KSOX RADAR INDICATES THAT A FEW LIGHT SHOWERS ARE
ALREADY MOVING INTO PARTS OF ORANGE COUNTY AND THE SBD
MOUNTAINS...AND A CALL FROM FOREST FALLS INDICATES THE SAME THING.
SO...THE FORECAST WILL BE UPDATED SHORTLY TO INCREASE POPS FOR THIS
AFTERNOON. WITH THE 100 KNOT JET JUST TO OUR NW...THE PROGRESSION OF
RAIN WILL SLOW DOWN LESS THAN NORMAL OVER SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. AT
THE SAME TIME...THIS WILL MEAN THAT THE RAIN WILL END SOONER THAN
PREVIOUSLY FORECAST...WITH VERY LITTLE RAIN EXPECTED...IF
ANY...AFTER SUNRISE SUNDAY.
MOUNTAIN WAVE CLOUDS ARE ALREADY QUITE EVIDENT ON SATELLITE...SO
WINDS SHOULD INCREASE BY THIS AFTERNOON OVER THE MTNS/DESERTS. WE
ALREADY GOT A CALLER REPORTING GUSTS TO 34 MPH IN HESPERIA. IVORYS
WIND PROGRAM INDICATES A FEW GUSTS POSSIBLE OF 60 MPH OR MORE THIS
