A strong front moving through the area, followed by strong southwesterly winds around the parent low. Southwest gusts reached 83 mph at Adak between 2042 AST Tue and 2058 AST Tue.A 99 mph gust was reported at the Dutch Harbor airport 1055 AST Wed.Shemya - 60+ mph on Tuesday with the 9:56 am observation. Observations were not available from 8pm ADT Sunday through 10 am ADT Monday due ongoing FO modem problems.Atka - 63 mph Tuesday between 9:55 pm and 11:55 pm.Around Dutch Harbor strong winds in the warning area were reported by all 3 data sources. The Spit had almost as strong winds as the airport.
