Thunderstorms that produced heavy rainfall moved across northern Virginia early in the evening on the 2nd. In Rappahannock County, the North Fork of the Thorton River rose out of its banks after a heavy downpour. In Prince William County, minor flooding was reported on the side roads off Route 234.
