Large hail fell across much of the city of New Braunfels. The worst damage was reported to a store at the intersection of SH46 and I-35. Most of the windows in the store front were destroyed by the hail.

The extremely large hail damaged hundreds of cars windows and bodies and dented and damaged the roofs of dozens of homes. Many consider this to be the most devastating hail storm in the city of Giddings in over 50 years.
