Heavy Snow in Pennsylvania, November 22 to 23, 2000
Relatively moist, northwest flow riding up along the front ridges of the Laurel Highlands produced the first significant orographically enhanced snowfall of the season. Snow showers started during the day on the 21st, and by the afternoon of the 22nd had produced snowfall totals of between 4 and 6 inches along the higher elevations.

Relatively moist, northwest flow riding up along the front ridges of the Laurel Highlands produced the first significant orographically enhanced snowfall of the season. Snow showers started during the day on the 21st, and by the afternoon of the 22nd had produced snowfall totals of between 4 and 6 inches along the higher elevations. Farther west across the lower elevations snowfall totals fell off quickly, with only between 1 and 2 inches recorded.
