Two days (June 25th and 26th) of hot and very humid weather claimed the life of two people within the city of Philadelphia. An 87-year-old female and a 74-year-old male died of heat related illnesses. The highest temperatures reached into the lower 90s. June 27th, was also a very humid day, but cloudiness preceding an approaching cold front prevented most places (the Franklin Institute just reached 90 degrees) from having high temperatures in the 90s. Highest temperatures included 93 degrees at the Franklin Institute and West Chester (Chester County) and 91 degrees at the Philadelphia International Airport, Neshaminy Falls (Bucks County) and Crum Creek (Delaware County).
