Lightning struck, burned and severely damaged a motorcycle sales showroom on the 10000 block of Gandy Boulevard North in St Petersburg. The lightning bolt traveled through the building's electrical lines, overloaded the system and ignited the building and contents. The damage from the lightning strike was estimated at two million dollars.
